day 7-lookin good so far ;)
I finished the second coat of paint on the stripes today. Now I just need to do the rest of the stripes on the other 2 walls! And then the trim and finally the stars :) It's looking pretty good so far if I do say so myself!

day 6 of painting-Stripes!
Here's what I got done today :
It was a little frustrating because the tape wouldn't stick to the wall for some reason...
But I just need to do another coat and then move on to the other two walls. And then...STARS :)
Have a good one!

Baby Shower!
Today was my baby shower that my friend Jasmine hosted for me. She made enchiladas and taco salad for lunch and brought a white chocolate raspberry cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory for dessert (my FAVORITE kind from there!). The food was amazing, and I don't have to tell you how delicious the cheesecake was :) Here I am enjoying my tasty frozen pomegranate lemonade:
We didn't do any games, but just chatted with eachother which was nice too.

Then I opened my gifts!
I LOVE star stuff :)
And handmade things are pretty sweet too :)
(my friend Erin made me the nursing cover)
I got a ton of diapers (probably a weeks worth though ha ha), diaper bags (for the poopy diapers), some cute cute outfits, bath toys, a stuffed giraffe, a baby monitor, a shopping cart cover, bottles, a bath tub, a crib sheet, butt paste, pacifiers, swaddlers, burp cloths, bibs, nursing pads, a night light that is also a room thermometer, a nursing cover (Erin made it for me!) and some lotion for me :) I love everything I got! It makes me even more excited for the baby to be born! He's such a lucky kid :) Here's me with all the gifts:

Here's some pics of the decorations (didn't get all of them because we cleaned up and I had forgotten to take pics before hand).
Well, I need to go write the Thank You cards now so I will talk to you later.

30 weeks down, only 10 more to go!
I'm exactly 30 weeks along today! It's gone by so fast too! I hope the next 10 go by fast as well. I want to hold my little guy :) Here's a couple pics of me that were taken today.

Me and my big ole belly are going to go find some more food to eat. I just had lunch and I'm still hungry! Later!

day 5-all that's left are the stars :)
I finished painting the last coat on the 4th and final wall today! Now all I need to do is have Luke help me prep the wall for painting the trim, stripes and stars :) I think I'll take the weekend off to relax though. All this painting is making me a little sore in the back :( Nothing a good back massage can't fix though!

day 3-half way there!
Day 3 went well. I finished the second wall and put the first coat of paint on the third one today. Here's the second wall all done:

Here's me painting the third wall:
Just one more coat of paint on the third wall and then two coats on the last one. Then I can paint the trim and my star accents :) I'm having way too much fun doing this ha ha. Have a good one!

day 2
Here is the lovely (or not so lovely) me painting the second wall today. I did a second coat on the wall from yesterday and just one on the wall today. I'll touch it up tomorrow. I'm really liking how it's turning out so far :)

And a kinda long video for your viewing pleasure (brace yourselves ha ha):

Let the painting begin!
I started painting the nursery yesterday! Luke requested that I only paint one wall a day so here are pics from the first day of my project:
if you look in the corner you can see the contrast from the new color on the left to the old color on the right

And there you have it! Don't I look thrilled to be wearing that itchy, hot and uncomfy mask? Better than breathing in the bad paint fumes though so I just have to take frequent breaks and drink lots and lots of water. I'll post more pics as I go. Have a good day!

Happy Birthday my Love!
Today is Lucas' 26th Birthday! To celebrate we invited our friends Joy and Jasmine over (one of which is also celebrating her birthday today) for dinner and cake and ice cream. We had Thai food for dinner (yum!) and I baked 2 mini cakes for the birthday boy and girl :)

The cakes turned out great! And very, very tasty too :) It was Luke's idea to put the candles on the cake the way I did (2 and 6 for 26 and 3 and 1 for 31). There would have been WAY too many candles on these cakes if i did the actual numbers! So this worked out.
Here's some pics of them with their cakes.
