Family Photos 2011

We had family photos taken on April 16 by a friend of a friend (see her website here) and they turned out great!  Carlos was being a stinker that day so he only smiled if one of us was behind the camera being complete goof balls ha ha.  Anyway here they are for your viewing pleasure :)

Happy Birthday to my Baby Boy!!

Can you believe that Carlos is one already!?!  I love being a Mom, especially to this sweet, sweet boy. :)  We didn't do much for his birthday on his actual birthday.  Here's some pics of him that I took that day.

We let him open some gifts on his birthday and then we had his party on the 23rd of April.  It was a rubber ducky themed party complete with homemade cupcakes and a cake too. :)  I over calculated and we ended up with waaay too much cake, but they turned out cute so it's ok I suppose lol.

We filmed him opening some of his gifts on his actual birthday.  I'll post a couple of the vids, but be mindful that they are kinda boring (he takes a loooong time to open them lol) so feel free to only watch parts of them if you want. :)  I think my favorite vid of him on his birthday was the one we took of him playing with his new car.  He loves cars and making car noises while playing with them. (see the video here)  :)

We also recorded him not eating his cake.  He wanted nothing to do with it ha ha.  Maybe next year he will want some cake lol. :)

Painting some more

So I missed posting about me painting the boy's bathroom and ours back in December so here are some photos of them!  I think I'm getting pretty good at the whole painting thing now:)  I also finished painting the living room last month so I'll add pics of that too.

And that's the last of the painting.  I decided that since we are moving in less than 6 months there is no need to do any more painting.  Luckily I won't have to paint it white again so at least my hard work will last after we leave. :)

So I've been slacking again.  Sorry it's a recurring theme for me lately.  I promise to update this as soon as I can, but I will leave you with a little preview of what's to come when I do actually give a full update. :)
