We also started giving him rice cereal this past weekend and he hasn't taken to it quite yet. I missed the first time he tried it because Luke panicked when I was out for about 1.5 hrs and he was getting fussy. His first experience with the stuff didn't go as planned to say the least, but Luke did get it on film. The videos are too long though to put on here (and would bore you all), but I do have a pic of when I was feeding him some the other day for my first time. His face says it all ha ha.
Hopefully he will start to like it someday soon. Until then we will just have to put up with the funny faces he pulls after every bite :)
Some other funny things that he does happen when he sleeps. Like this:
Now that's is taking a nap with style right there ha ha. Life is gonna be a bit stressful when he no longer can sit in his swing for a nap. Doesn't he look comfy? :)
He's also been rolling over onto his tummy to sleep at night. I don't know what to do when he does that so I try to roll him back over only to come back in a couple hours to see him sleeping on his tummy. Should I take it as a sign that it's safe for him to sleep that way now? He hasn't mastered rolling back onto his back yet so it makes me nervous still. I'm just hoping that I'm overreacting and that he will be ok to sleep on his tummy..until then I guess I will just keep checking on him.
Anyway, in non-Carlos news...Luke found a rat on Saturday night in the kitchen!! So we got some sticky traps and laid them out on Sunday night. While we were laying out the traps we heard a squeak and I freaked out and ran and jumped up on the couch (I'm that big of a sissy) and Luke just laughed at me. About 2 hours after we laid the traps we heard some rustling (we laid plastic bags under the traps so it would be easier to dispose of the creature) in the kitchen and low and behold the rat had gotten caught!! Luke filmed me freaking out when I saw the thing (it was HUGE and oh so GROSS!!) and then took a pic of it and THEN took it out to the trash. I will post the pic so you can see the rodent, but to avoid embarrassing myself I will not be posting the video.
YUCK YUCK YUCK!!!
Sorry to end on this note, but that's all I have for now. I really really hope that thing did not have any offspring or friends he left behind.....

Oh... my... DISGUSTING! That thing is huge!
But I do think that Carlos's face is classic with the rice cereal. It'll take him a while, but soon he'll be loving it!
You didn't want to keep the rat as a pet?
Carlos should be fine sleeping on his stomach now. Usually the concern is when babies aren't strong enough to hold up their heads. Plus, he'll probably be learning how to roll over the other very soon! Then he'll start rolling across the floor, and then he'll be crawling and then walking, and then off to college!
Sorry, Elsie turned one last month and it's freaking me out a little!
Also, rice cereal is pretty gross, so I don't blame him for hating it :) Elsie hated rice cereal but we started giving her some with some carrot and sweet potato purees mixed in and she loved it. Maybe he'd like it if you did that, too?
