Rain, rain and more rain!

The rainy season has begun (much to my dismay). It's been raining ALOT lately (started on Thursday last week) and hasn't really felt like letting up for very long. I think the record from the 1950's or so for the most rainfall was broken on Thursday too (by like 2 in). Roads have been flooded, the water pipe at work burst, causing a major traffic jam since now the fastest way to work is road blocked (now I get to take a 20 min detour to add to my already 50 min drive...ugh) It's been raining so much it's scary. and some people don't feel the need to drive safely too...when they can't even see the road because of all the rain. I hope I don't hydroplane one of these days...or ever...I can't wait for the rainy season to end. It doesn't help that Luke's truck broke down on last week so we've been sharing my car...which means I have been getting up WAY early to take him to work just so I can have the car to get me to work..ugh. Today was especially annoying since I had to take the first part of my language proficiency test this afternoon, but had to be up at 5:30 am to take Luke to work. I will be taking the second and final part tomorrow. And since I am testing tomorrow I should get to bed. I need my sleep...since I was so tired at work after my test and was struggling to stay awake. So I shall say good night. I will let you all know how I did on my tests tomorrow. Later
