Some new stuff

So...lots of things have happened in the last month since I wrote last. We are slowly getting more furniture to make this house of ours more like home. I'm still waiting on my dinning table (I have no clue why it is taking so long...it's been over 2 months since I purchased the thing!!!). We got our couches, a side table, a bookcase, a TV stand and a new bed a couple weeks ago. I also felt like being crafty and made some curtains for our room and the computer room which i will show you (they are way cute if I do say so myself).

I also finally started shift work a week ago. Finally done with training!!! Shift work is alright. I'm not fond of my job, but that's life. I do enjoy working 3 days and then having 3 days off. It's quite nice :]

Well, here are the pictures of our new furniture. Hope you enjoy!

He's HERE!!

These last couple of days with Luke have been awesome! We went furniture shopping the other day, but we didn't buy anything yet. We really need a bed so that's the first thing on our list..then we'll get the other things like couches and a tv stand and such. I'm really glad he's finally here with me! It's nice to have someone around that loves me, no matter how much of a pain I am to him :] well, I need to go help him with something so ttyl!

starting to feel like home...

So for the last couple of weeks I've been doing some decorating and getting some things for the house so it doesn't look so empty. I put pictures up on the walls, got some new rugs and yesterday I bought some Halloween decorations :] Nothing much, just some window clings, a black cat, and some tea light holders. Oh! And I bought this really cool candy bowl for when the kids come trick-or-treating...it's the same one my parents have actually (the one that has a hand in the middle that moves down when you put your hand in the bowl) :] it still startles me even though I know what it's going to do lol. I also bought some curtains for the front room, but I need to wait till Luke gets here to help me put them up since we don't have a power drill at the moment. I still haven't gotten my kitchen table delivered yet (it might not get here for a couple more weeks, but that's ok) and we decided to wait to get living room furniture after Luke gets here. We need bedroom furniture too since I've been sleeping on an air mattress for the last 2 + months and I'm losing sleep cuz of it too. That will be fun to go shopping for those things with him :] I can't wait till we have everything we need to make this house a home! Then we can have people over and they will have somewhere to sit and be entertained. I'll put pics up after we get everything all put together and arranged how I want it.

Just 5 more days and he will be here!! I have a feeling that time will drag on until he gets here...it always does when I'm expecting something good to happen and I want the time to fly. Every time. oh well, I'll just have to keep myself busy, then maybe the time will go by faster :] Anyway, I should go find something to eat for lunch now so ttyl!

Just one more week...

Well, Luke left Korea today and will be spending about a week with his family in New Mexico while he gets his Truck ready to ship out here. Then he will fly out here on the 16th!! I am so happy, but I'm having a hard time being patient too...it's gonna be so awesome to have him here with me! No more loneliness! YAY! We'll get to be a real married couple that lives together (and drive eachother crazy too lol.) Anyway, just wanted to share the excitement with everyone. ttyl!

The Best News EVER!

So I got a phone call this morning from my assistant commander informing me that they found out that my husband's orders have been changed and he will be coming here now instead of Maryland!!!! I was wide awake after that (since the call woke me up) and called Luke to tell him the news! He'll be here in October or Early November at the latest. And I'm moving into the new place this weekend too. I bought a dining set yesterday as well and I just have to wait for it to get on island. So many things are looking up for me today! I am just lovin life right now :]

Stress...ugh

So, yesterday I found out that my husband has orders for Maryland (and has had them since before he left for Korea last year..) and that if he doesn't have someone in his chain of command help him get them changed he'll be going there and it will be 10 times harder to change them so he can come here..meaning he'll be there for 3 years...and I'll be in Hawaii...alone. I had a nervous breakdown!! But I talked to him about it and he's informed his supervisor and some other very important people who will pretty much help him get this fixed pronto. I really hope that this works out cuz I do not want to live here with out him anymore!! It's kinda like he'd be deployed to Iraq... the only difference is he'd get to come visit a couple times a year or I'd get to go see him. However, if that happens I will go insane!! But I have complete confidence that the people in his chain of command there will help him fix his orders and he'll be here in no time. So yeah, that's my big and very stressful news of the year! I don't know how much worse things could get...and I don't want to know either. Talking it out with him and a couple friends has made me feel a bit better though, cuz no matter what happens he will always love me and I do have some pretty awesome friends that will keep me company while we are apart.

On a different note...I'll be going to go sign my lease for the new place tomorrow afternoon! I'll be sure to take pics of the outside so I can post them on here! The only bummer about tomorrow is that I have to go to what our base calls the "Warrior Run"...aka...pain-in-the-butt-make-me-get-up-early-on-my-day-off run...argh! Oh well. Anyways, I'm hungry so I'm gonna go eat a snack now before dinner so laterz!
